What is a Jaipuri razai?
A Jaipuri razai is a traditional Rajasthani quilt with a soft cotton filling wrapped in hand block printed cotton fabric. It's lighter than a Western-style comforter but warm enough for North Indian winters, and has been made this way in Jaipur for generations.
What's the difference between a Jaipuri razai and a regular quilt?
A regular quilt often uses synthetic filling and machine printing. A Jaipuri razai uses natural cotton filling and is hand block printed with hand-carved wooden blocks — a slower, traditional process, which is why small variations between pieces are normal and part of what makes each one handmade rather than mass-produced.

What sizes are available?
Our Jaipuri razai collection is available in Single (60 x 90 in / 150 x 225 cm) and Double (90 x 112 in / 225 x 280 cm) bed sizes with matching design options, so it's ready to use straight out of the box.Can I machine wash a Jaipuri razai, or does it need dry cleaning?
Our Jaipuri razais are dry clean only. The cotton filling and hand block printed fabric can lose shape and colour vibrancy if machine washed, so dry cleaning is the only way we recommend caring for these quilts.

All Sahyansh quilts are filled with 100% natural cotton, sandwiched between two layers of soft mulmul fabric. We do not use any synthetic fibre or hollow fibre filling. The cotton filling makes our quilts breathable, lightweight and naturally warm — ideal for the Indian climate.
Yes, our hand block print mulmul quilts are suitable for all seasons. The 100% cotton filling and breathable mulmul fabric keep you warm in winters without overheating — making them perfect for summers as AC quilts,used across most parts of India.
Mulmul quilts are made from ultra-soft, lightweight mulmul (muslin) cotton fabric — perfect for winters as they are breathable and airy. Regular cotton quilts are slightly thicker with more structured fabric and synthetic filling — suitable for mild winters or AC rooms. At Sahyansh we offer both mulmul dohars for summer and cotton filled quilts (razai) for cooler weather, all hand block printed by Jaipur artisans.
Yes, every product at Sahyansh is authentically hand block printed by skilled artisans in Jaipur, Rajasthan. We use traditional carved wooden blocks and natural dyes — no machine printing. Each piece is unique and may have slight variations which are a mark of genuine handcraft.

Shipping and Payments
Yes,
we offer Cash on Delivery (COD) on selected orders. As our handcrafted quilts, bedsheets and dohars are bulky products, shipping charges are significantly higher for COD shipments. To ensure a smooth delivery experience: COD orders are subject to pincode serviceability verification. Shipping charges are calculated based on the products ordered and delivery location. A partial advance payment (approximately 20%) may be required before dispatch. The remaining amount can be paid at the time of delivery. Once order received we try to dispatch the order within a time frame of 3 days. We deliver across India within 5–7 business days. All orders are carefully packed to protect the hand block print fabric during transit. You will receive a tracking link once your order is dispatched.
Product Care
Natural dye colours may soften slightly after the first few washes — this is normal and part of the charm of authentic hand block printing. To keep the colours vibrant for longer, always wash in cold water, use a mild detergent, avoid bleach completely, and dry in shade away from direct sunlight. Turning the fabric inside out before washing also helps preserve the print.
Machine wash cold with a mild detergent on a gentle cycle. Avoid bleach and do not tumble dry. Dry in shade to preserve the block print colours. First wash separately as slight colour bleeding is normal for natural dyes. If the listing doesn't specify washing instructions, dry clean only.
